This is a poem about "going through it." Everyone's "it" is different, but it leaves us with similar feelings. For me, I sometimes get overwhelmed, and even underwhelmed. Life's waves can be easy breezy or stormy and choppy, but we have to remember that we are the wave. We flow and naturally find our balance, eventually. Being present and grateful helps me reach a place of equilibrium. I hope you enjoy Sea Me.
Sea Me
Like waves under a wave cap, I flow.
I curl. I stop and go. I be. Embarking on a journey to the depths of the being I am becoming. Submerging into my deepest sea, plummeting. I nosedive into my waters. I ascend the highest peaks. Cliff diving off the mountains under the sea. How deep. Emotional me. Spinning in circles. A whirlpool of feelings. Sometimes, it is arduous to reel them in.
Currently, I stand in the currents.
Living in the present, I see my sea of life. Glistening waters under the moonlight. How pacific. Wondrous me. Swirling in renewal. Maelstroms of resets. Grateful to know I'm doing my best. The stars shimmer on my outsets. Faith Underwood ⓒ 2024
