Through Eyes of Perception

How easy is it to  become stuck in someone else's perception?
There are some many eyes in this world, and so many different views.  
So many webs to get stuck in.
So many stories to be a part of.
Be they true or false. 

Everyday we step out into a world of emotions.  Because we aren't just bodies walking around. We are spirits.
We are full-fledged  beings radiating  energy that  reflects our emotions, our states, and our  thoughts.  

Through eyes of perception you can be anything...

Recent news throughout the years has shed  a public light on the ugly face of hate. As a  woman of color in the United States, I have seen my share of systematic racism. In my hometown, my colleges, and  across this nation. People of color in these states have  seen and felt racism for years. What I find  shocking is although we've known this, seeing it happen over and over hurts like the first time. So, what happens next?

I think that is the age old question.

One thing I know for sure is I won't stand idle.  Racism is far-reaching. It affects us on so many levels, and can be hidden very well to an untrained eye. Racism is a weapon of spiritual warfare, and our spirits must be protected at all costs.

Once before, I started a prayer/meditation group, and I do believe it is time to do it again.  It is time to protect ourselves and hold each other close. It is our divine right to be at peace, even where there is such more turmoil around us.  

With the  eclipse happening on August  21st, we will be  starting a new spiritual cycle. Let's start it with helpful spirits backing us.
